If you are going to do a lot of exploring, these are some suggestions:
- Defrag your computer once a week
- Usually under accessories -> system tools
- Do a disk clean up on your computer
- Usually under accessories -> system tools
- Clear your browsing history on your browser
- Usually under tool -> options
- I clear my browsing history, browsing searches, and cashe.
- Reboot the computer after it has been cleaned
- If using better facebook, turn it off while exploring
- Pages will load a lot faster if you are opening multiple pages at once
- Do not have anything else open but the browser you are using.
- Example would be yahoo, msn, skype, etc.
- Usually anything that is running has a little symbol by the time. If it doesn't need to be on turn it off.
If anyone else has any suggestions, please leave a comment.
This is Stephen's Suggestion -
Or just use Ubuntu (and avoid the whole defrag/spyware/having a massive update every 1st Tuesday of the month/updates that update not JUST your OS, but ALL the programs currently installed) - we won't even mention the whole blue screen of death
Piti Walzenhauser interesting... but you should not defragment or clear cache if you are using a SSD (solid state drive), the good SSDs under Windows 7 will fire the TRIM command automatically to keep their performance.
